Description

This one day seminar aims at providing insight on a freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis which helps to identify risks involved in bringing a product to market in a country in which you wish to do so, without infringing existing third-party rights.

Our speakers, Pascal van Troost and Bart van Wezenbeek, will present typical steps of an FTO analysis, what you should pay particular attention to, how to define a search object, how to interact with the patent information specialist, how to analyse the relevant hits that are found in the search and how to provide completeness of the results. Further, the speakers will address the strategies for dealing with the results of the FTO analysis, both for private practice patent attorneys, but especially for in-house counsel. They will also provide guidance how to include such an FTO strategy in the common business perspective.

This seminar will be moderated by Vera op den Brouw-Sprakel.
Extensive interaction with the audience is expected and welcome for the on-site session.
