This webinar is only for epi Members and epi Students.

In this webinar we will discuss how innovations in artificial intelligence and machine learning can be protected with IP rights, in particular patents. We will cover the basics of patenting computer-implemented inventions at the European Patent Office and the application of the legal framework to AI/ML-related inventions. Further topics will be sufficiency of disclosure and whether AI has an impact on the future understanding of the person skilled in the art.

Technical requirements
In order to attend the on-line course participants need a computer with an internet browser and a high-speed broadband internet connection. For the webinar, epi uses Cisco WebEX, so initially some WebEX software will be installed on your computer. Security settings on local Firewalls need to be checked. In order to make full use of the webinar session, we recommend to use headsets.

To access to the webinar epi sends out a link and the guidelines for participants shortly before the webinar.
