Understanding Exhaustion and Implied Licence after Brexit

The doctrines of exhaustion and implied licence sit at the heart of how patented goods move through markets; but in a post-Brexit world, the legal landscape has shifted significantly. Understanding where UK and European law now converge and diverge is essential for any business involved in the manufacture, distribution, or importation of patent-protected products.

In this session, Scott Foster and Paul Williams of Lewis Silkin LLP will guide participants through the current UK and EU legal framework and highlight the practical implications for companies operating across borders.
