epi Studentship Admissions Committee (SAC)

The Students Admissions Committee (SAC) shall consist of seven epi members elected by Council, none of whom shall be a member of the Disciplinary Board of Appeal. Members of the Supervisory Board and Examination Board may be members of SAC, however the Chair of SAC shall not be a member of the Supervisory Board.
Task of the Committee:
SAC deals with applications from trainee patent attorneys to become Student Members of epi. The Committee considers whether the documents submitted by each candidate show that the candidate meets the requirements set out in epi’s Rules on Studentship and, if they do, admits them as epi students. The work of the SAC requires extensive knowledge of the Rules and a good knowledge of academic qualifications.
