The committee shall have a maximum of four full members, and up to four substitute members
Task of the Committee:
The Committee is concerned with the financial affairs of the EPO.
The Committee’s work is mostly driven by preparing for meetings of the Budget and Finance Committee of the EPO, which ordinarily has two meetings a year, normally in May and October. epi delegates attend these meetings as observers.
Most documents requiring assessment come out during the month preceding each meeting.
Occasionally the Committee is asked at short notice to advise on matters outside this bi-annual cycle.
The Committee thus has prolonged periods of inactivity with short periods of intense workload. Nearly all meetings are by video conference.
